The Persecuted Church
If someone came crashing into your home and grabbed your family and told you to renounce your faith in Jesus, while holding a gun to your head – would you do it?
Living in North America and enjoying the freedoms that we do, we truly do not understand what people face many places around the world. We may see it on television and hear about it in the news, but we have never experienced that kind of fear or terror. Many of us like to think that we would stand strong and declare our faith in Jesus. Yet, we will not even share our faith with our neighbors for fear of being judged or ridiculed.
Millions of Christians are being persecuted worldwide. Thousands of people have had to flee their homes, leaving everything behind as they run and hide for fear of being caught, imprisoned, tortured, or even killed. We are grateful to be working with a ministry that understands the challenges these families face and through your support, are able to provide safe shelter, food, blankets and clothing – relief supplies that these Middle Eastern families so desperately need.
The Bible is very clear that as Christians we will face persecution. It also says that if we persevere ours is the Kingdom of Heaven. We need to stand strong with fellow believers and support them in their faith. When one suffers, we all suffer. We are to be one body, one spirit, and one hope. Join us by giving hope!
